Bringing Red Grammer's Award-winning Framily music to the mobile devices you and your kids are using in exciting new ways

In the summer of 2013 Joshua Homnick and Red Grammer embarked on an ambitious Kickstarter campaign to raise $66,000 to fund the creation of three touchscreen interactive music videos based on three of Red's most beloved songs. The campaign succeeded and on July 19th, 2013 the project was funded!

The production process is well underway.  If you'd like to be notified when this exciting project is completed and available just add your name to Red Grammer's email list by clicking on the red tab on the right side of this page.

What follows is a brief explanation of the project.

Why Red Grammer's Music?

Long before iPads and Galaxy tablets put the world of the internet directly into our kids' hands, a simple question caused two young parents to change the direction of their lives. It was the early 1980's and Kathy and I were busy raising our boys, Daivid and Andy. We started noticing how expertly crafted media messages were increasingly being woven into the fabric of our family life, without our consent or participation. The question we asked then and I'm sure you are still asking today is, "How do I raise my children to eagerly embrace the world in all of its incredible diversity and amazing possiblities without leaving them open to the distortions and excesses of an unbridled media culture?"

As professional writers and musicians, we responded to this challenge by setting out to develop an alternative source of media for our sons (and children everywhere) by creating a body of music that would palyfully remind them who they are really, and inspire them to move through a complicated world with hope, joy, openness, and an abiding respect for themselves and others.

Awards, media praise, and heartfelt testimonials have streamed in as our music has made its way into homes and hearts all around the world.   With sales of nearly half a million albums, it's clear that many others have also desired to fill the sacred circle of family with clever, nourishing songs that open up our hearts to each other and the world around us.

Here it Comes!

Now it's time to get these award-winning songs and their wonderful spirit onto your family's mobile devices in ways that take advantage of the creative capabilities they contain. Over the past year, I've been working closely with "Webby" award-winner Joshua Homnick (producer/director/interactive app consultant) and other gifted artists, software developers and producers exploring cool ways to do just this.  We have so many great ideas...interactive music videos, bright and colorful eBooks, games and apps, as well as a series of videos in which I'll help your children develop a "hands on" relationship with nature.  We even look forward to creating toys based on our most popular parts of ourselves that make up a happy and whole human being.

Our first step is an app with three interactive music videos.

Our formula for this project is simple:

1. Start with award-winning music that has helped grow happy and healthy kids and families for the past 30 years.

2. Add awesome visuals with characters and worlds designed to attract and engage your children.

3. Deliver it to them in a safe, commercial-free way.

The three songs chosen for this project are "Teaching Peace", "See Me Beautiful" and "The Barnyard Boogie".

These three touchscreen interactive music videos are coming soon!
